Sassy Salutations CASE

Hello,

I love when the retiring list makes you go through your stamp sets and helps you fell in LOVE with your "OLD" favourites!! I have to say that this is one of my one favourites and sadly it has not seen ink in along time. This is a struggle that I have and I'm sure I'm not alone on this one. A new catalogue comes out and we use mostly products from that book but we forget about our favourites from the Annual Catalogue. Has this happen to you?? I know I'm guilty of it big time!!

This is a new goal for me when the new Annual catalogues comes out...to use products from both the Annual and mini catalogue each week!! This way you are still using products in both catalogues and not forgetting about our favourites!!

My project today is a CASE from my friend Erica from Pink Buckaroo Designs!! I'm a huge fan of her work and can't wait to meet her next month on the Mediterranean Cruise!! Thanks for the inspiration Erica!!

Another favourite that is leaving us is the Shine on Shine Designer Series Paper! I love the kraft paper with the silver foil designs on the one side!! I really hope there will be a new collection like this in the new book!!

Only a month left of the Retiring List and items are selling out quickly!! You can view the retiring list here!! I have an order going in on Sunday night if you would like to add to it to save on some shipping!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Lovely as a Tree Birthday Card

Happy Monday!

Did you know that you can use your framelits as stencils? I love when you find new ways of using your tool other then what they are intended for. One of the new class series that I have added to my monthly schedule is a Framelit Frenzy class. Each month we create two cards using framlits as stencils and each customer goes home with a stencil template to add to their key ring!

This month we focus on the circle framelits, as there is so much you can do with this set. The first thing that came to mind is to use the circle framelit as a template for a moon. Of course, I had to pair the Lovely as a tree stamp set with it!!

I'm sad to say that the Circle Framelits and the Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper are both on the retiring list and will be leaving us at the end of May. I'm sad about the framelits leaving as I used them a lot on my projects!!. You can view all the products leaving us here! Remember these are while supplies last and some items are already sold out!!

Thanks for stopping for by and have a great day!!

Another Butterfly Swash Technique

Hello,

Thank you for all the sweet comments on my Butterfly Swash card that I showed you this week. I have another card to show you using this technique. Both cards used the same technique but they are done two different ways.

My favourite part of this card is the bright colours as I feel it makes this card pop and just looking at it makes me happy!!

DSC_0009 copy

Another Way to do the Butterfly Swash Technique:

Stamps the three swashes on the plain white card front first,

then runs it through the Big Shot with the butterfly die-cut.

This version requires a second piece of plain white to place behind it.

My greeting on my card is from the Apple of my Eye stamp set. I'm sad that this stamp set is leaving us at the end of May. I think this might be one that I might hold on to as it's one that you can use for any occasions!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Annual Scrap and Crop Weekend Event

Hello,

Good morning from the beautiful town of Stratford. It's time for our annual Spring Scrap and Crop weekend event and I'm so looking forward to spending my weekend with all these lovely ladies. We started last night at 6pm and they room was filled with lots of chatter, cricut machines working and my favourite part listening to them laugh with their friends!!

One of my favourite things to do while I'm here is to have lots of displays to inspire the ladies while they work on their projects!! I thought I would share my booth set up with you!!

And here is the other end of the tables...

IMG_4792 copy

I always like to add new and exciting things when I'm here and this time around I added a 50/50 board. So with each purchase of circle, they get to write their names on the board and pick out a yummy polka dot cello bags. The cello bags are filled with M&M's, Smarties, Jelly Beans, Jelly Belly's, Peanut M&M's and a variety of trail mixes. Once the board is filled, their name would be entered in to win a order from Stampin' Up! How fun is that!

Also I wanted to show off the fabulous Paper Pumpkin monthly kit!! Each month the Paper Pumpkin kit just keeps getting better! Who doesn't LOVE a little surprise in the mail? One of my favourite thing each month is coming home and finding that little red box waiting for me! I can't wait to get inside to open it up to see what fun creative project we will be making this month!!

Work of Art Butterfly Card

Hello,

I have heard from many of you that you had a hard time placing an order yesterday since the Stampin' Up! system was down due to technique clinch from the high volume of orders being place. Stampin'Up! has let us know that they have worked out the clinch and all is good now and that you should be able to place an order without any problems. There are still LOTS of great products on the Retiring List still available and the best part some of them are up to 50% off. What a great way to stock up on your favourites!!!

My project today is one that we made last month in our Technique class. Each month we get together to learn a new technique and I show my customers two ways to use that technique. I saw this fun technique on my friend Lyssa's blog and I knew that my customers would love it!! Plus...I was really hoping for Spring weather, so creating with butterflies helped me get into the Springtime mood!!

DSC_0008 copy

Butterfly Swash Technique

Starts with a die-cut butterfly, which is then tacked down

onto a plain white car front and stamped directly

over with your "swash" stamp.

The neat thing about this technique is when you lift up the wings on your card, they have a beautiful random colouring on them!!

Did you notice the fun curvy corners? They are done with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch and the sad part is this trio punch is on the retiring list which means it only available till May 31 or until supplies last!!

Birthday Blooms

Happy Monday!!

I hope you had a great weekend! We sure did..it was a great weekend of checking things off the to do list! I spent most of Saturday morning organizing my studio and rearranging my stuff into my new Alex Desk from Ikea!! I'm over the moon excited about my new table and how much room there is and the best part everything has a new home in the desk. I have a few more things to do in my room, and then I will be sharing pictures with you!!

My card today is a CASE from Pinterst from my friend Alison from Stamp Crazy with Alison!! She did really cool technique where she used the Wink of Stella and an inkpad to colour in the flowers. The best part...you have a shimmer shine to your flowers!!

DSC_0051 copy

I love how simply and elegant this card is. I think it's the soft colours that remind me of this time of year...Spring!!

Updates in Craft Room ( aka Studio)

Hello,

Lot's of fun and exciting things happening in my studio! I can't wait to show you the end result when it's all done and finally give you a tour of my happy place!! Yes..this is my happy place and a place that I spend lots of time stamping, creating and prepping for classes!

I have been on the look out for a new table for the last few month as I felt that I need more space and room on my table when I'm creating. After sharing my idea with my Corrie, we began the process of looking and searching for idea's. I spent a lot of time looking at various stampin blogs, Pinterest and talking with fellow demonstrator to see what they had and used.

After looking around and deciding on what we were going to do, we finally made the decision to go with the Alex Drawers and Table top from Ikea!! Well, last Friday we made the trip to order them and then the countdown began till we could pick them up!!

Finally the wait is over...we picked up the boxes from Ikea on Tuesday night after work!!

IMG_4271 copy

Almost loaded into the truck!!

This is view in my studio! See why I need a bigger area to work at!! LOL

The fun will begin this weekend when I can start the reorganizing process. I will share the process with you over the weekend and I can't wait to show you my new studio with a grand tour in the next few weeks!!
