What a Gem!! - July Paper Pumpkin Kit

Hello,

July kit

One of my favourite things is going to the mailbox to find a little red box waiting for me!! I just can't wait to get inside to open it and see what fun projects are waiting for me. I know that with this magical red box, I will have 30 mins of creativity and the best part all I have to do is assemble the monthly kit. Everything I need is in the box except for a pair of scissors and adhesives!!

Wondering what Paper Pumpkin is about? Check out this month's video showcasing the July Kit called "What a Gem"

Aren't these little boxes so cute?? I have already made mine and have filled them with yummy chocolate kisses!! Now you don't have to use the kit just to create these boxes, I have seen these boxes turned into Christmas cards, Christmas Ornaments, sailboats, and so much more. Check out the Paper Pumpkin Page on Pinterest for tons more idea's using this set!!

Curious about Paper Pumpkin?? You can do a month to month subscription, or you can choose from a 3 month, 6 month or 12 prepaid subscription. There is something for every budget!! To find out more information about joining this fun program, you can head over to my paper pumpkin store!! I hope you will join the monthly fun!! No Bones About It- Birthday Card

Hello,

Today, I'm sharing with you one of the projects that we made last month in our Simply Occasions Class. I'm loving the new Incolours and can't get enough of the Emerald Envy. It's reminds me of my Irish background and the beautiful colours in the that county!! Oh, how I hope that Stampin' Up! will have an Incentive Trip there in the near future!! Now trust me, that is one trip the whole family will be going on!!!

My card uses a layout that I saw on my friend Erica's blog. I really liked the layout that she used on her going places card and thought it would be fun to give it a try.

I used the No Bones about it stamp for my project today. My goal when creating cards is to mix old stamp set in with new product. Plus, I thought it would be great to have some masculine cards on hand for my stash!!

To create my dinosaurs, I only used the Emerald Envy ink pad. For the solid image, I inked my stamp in Emerald Envy and stamped off a few times so I would have a softer tone. Then using the xray image, I stamped in Emerald Envy in full strength so it looks stronger on the image. I love how it turned out!!

I used one of my favourite framelits on this project the Swirly Scribbles. These framelits are a MUST in your collection as you can use them on any theme or occasions!!

You can see all the supplies that I used in this project in the clickable links below.

Let's Celebrate- Confetti Celebration Birthday Card

Happy Monday!!

Sorry for being MIA the last few days! It's been a busy days few around here. I spent a few days prepping samples for upcoming classes in August and then on Saturday, the girls and I spend the day at an information session at Waterloo. It was a great day filled with tons of information for both Emily and I. She spent the day with her fellow peers learning what a day will be like for her at university and I spend the day with other parents learning how to support our child while they are away. To be honest, I'm not sure I'm ready for the next steps in the fall...too many changes and that makes my heart sad!!! Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for Emily as she embarks in her new adventure, I just don't like the fact that she won't be here with us everyday!!

For my project today, I CASE my card idea from my friend Allison. Now I didn't have the same background stamp that she used, so I switched it up to the Let's Celebrate from the Confetti Celebration stamp set and love how it turned out!!

My focus point for the card was the camera and the flash behind it. The camera is from the new hostess stamp set called Pun Intended and the flash came from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. I love when you can pick older stamp set with new on your projects!! You can see all the supplies that I used in this project in the clickable links below.

Snow Place Shaker Card

Hello,

I have another shaker card to share with you. This was the other project that we made in our technique class last week. Our focus for the night was how to create Shaker Cards!! As I was sharing with you yesterday, they are so quick and easy to create especially with the new Foam Adhesives Strips.

It's been so hot and humid here lately and we are in for another blast the next few days. So I was trying to think of "cool" thoughts and thought it would be fun to create a Christmas Shaker card with one of my favourite stamp sets and matching framelits from last year Holiday Catalogue. I was SO happy when I saw it in new catalogue this year as that means I get to use my favourite "Snowman" again for another year!!

When I was dreaming of this card in my mind, I knew that I wanted to stick with the cooler colours so went with Dapper Denim, Silver and Whisper White.

This card came together very quickly with the help of the new Layering Circle Framelits and my best friend the Big Shot!!! It you have not seen these new framelits collection, I would encourage you to check them out as there are multiple sizes and layers that you can mix and match for you projects!

Curious to know what I used on my card? You can see all the supplies that I used in this project in the clickable links below.

Confetti Celebration Shaker Card

Hello,

Last week in our technique class, we learned how to make shaker cards. I used to hate making shaker cards as they were alot of work BUT not anymore they are so quick and easy especially with our new Foam Adhesive strips. These new adhesive strips come in a sheet with already cut out strips, all you do is remove, stick and peel off the adhesive part and you are ready to go!

My project today was creating using the Confetti Celebration stamp set. I actually ordered this set during pre-order and I can tell you it's my go to stamp for creating when celebrating birthdays.

As you can see I'm loving the colour combination of Flirty Flamingo, Sahara Sand and Whisper White. This time I added a little bit of Silver accent to the card as I thought it would be the perfect fit for my metallic sequins.

I also added the scraps punched out from my Sprinkles punch to my shaker card. We found when creating the card, the more sequins and scraps punch out you had the better, it helped from the sequins getting stuck to the foam when you shook it.

Jar of Love "For you" card

Happy Monday!!

DSC_0008 copy

Last week was our Simply Occasion class and this is one of the cards that I prepared for everyone. My goal for classes is to showcase some new product mixed with some old product. That way we don't forget about our favourites that carried over into the new catalogue!! This card has a little bit of both on it! The new product is the Burlap Ribbon and the Jar of Love bundle. The old is the Large Polka Dot Textured Impression Folder.

One bundle that I knew that I wanted to showcase was the Jar of Love bundle that features the Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating Everyday Jar framelits dies.

Jar of Love Bundle #142342 $69.25

I wanted to keep this card simple and quick so I only added one jar filled with flowers. I used the new burlap ribbon along with my favourite colour combination of Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Pear Pizzaz and Sahara Sand.

There is so much that you can do with this bundle? Have you checked out pinterest for idea's? I have seen jar's with fruit, fishes, flowers, sand, bugs and so much more!! I think this is one bundle that you can use for any occasion which makes it a great set to have in your collection!!

Interesting in knowing what I used on this card, you can see all the supplies that I used in this project in the clickable links below.

Pineapple Thank You Card!!

Happy Saturday!!

Did you know that Pineapples are hot and trendy right now? I had no idea till I saw tons of window displays with pineapples and flamingo while we were walking the streets of Cannes in France!!

Plus there was tons of swaps cards on display in the hospitality room on the Incentive trip that used the Pop of Paradise stamp set and the Pineapple stamp set. So of course, when I got home, I had to order the new single Pineapple stamp in the Annual Catalogue.

When I was designing my classes for July, I knew that I wanted to showcase this stamp set as one of my cards. I decided it would make a fun "Thank you" card.

DSC_0005

I thought the leaves of my pineapple needed some dimension. So I stamped an extra set of leaves in Emerald Envy ( I love this new colour!!) and fussy cut them out with my paper snips. Once I had the leaves the way that I like them, I add a few dimensionals and pop them up onto my leaves.

My greeting came together fairly quickly as I used the Thoughtful Banner stamp set and matching Duet Banner punch. I stamp the banner image in Early Espresso onto a piece of Crushed Curry card stock and then stamp the greeting with Early Espresso ink. Once I was done, I used the new Duet Banner to punch it out and then add it to the card with some dimensionals.

I think this would make a great thank you card to give to a family or friend as your way of saying thank you for a great summer event!!

The colour combination that I used was Early Espresso, Emerald Envy, Crushed Curry and Whisper White. I love the richness of this colour combo!!

Update on Accident!!

Happy Friday!!

I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. Sorry for being MIA the last few days, honestly not sure where those days went. It has been so busy around here that one day leads into the next. I'm finally ready to share with you the news that ROCK our world 3 weeks ago today.

I had just finished worked and was driving home, when Corrie phoned. When I answered the phone, I could tell in his voice that something was not right. He went on to tell me that he had been in an accident and went on to tell me that he was driving home from work when he was t-bone on the passenger side of the truck, causing him to loose control of the truck hit a ditch and rolled three times into a farmer's field. My initial reaction was "OMG are you okay? He told me "that his neck and shoulder blades were sore and because it was a roll over accident that he was going the hospital via ambulance." He then went onto to tell me that he thought his truck was a write off as there was a lot of damage.

Truck 2

I met him at the hospital and was greeted by a social worker who explain the process of what was happening and going on. I have to admit my heart sank a bit when she told me who she was. She reassured me that Corrie was okay and was just in the process of being checked over by the doctors from head to toe.

After a CT scan of the head, neck and back, along with two other xrays of his arm and hand, we had a visit from the ER doctor. They told us that all test had came back negative and that we were good to go home. They also explained that he would be sore in the days to come as he had brace for the accident.

I'm very thankful for the Angels that watching over Corrie and our family that day. He is doing alot better these day, and is still a little sore but it's getting better as each day goes on. Our days have been busy since with lots of paperwork for the insurance company, and going to phyiso twice a week. Plus we have been waiting to find out about his truck which they have written off due to the amount of damage, this is very sad for our family as we loved that truck. Corrie had customed ordered it only 2 years ago and it was our pride and joy. We had a lot of fun memories in the truck and we will miss her!! I'm excited to say that we have a new one on order and it should be here in August.

I want to say a big thank you to our family, friends, and customers that have helped us out the last few weeks. We really appreciate it and from the bottom of our heart we say " thank you" and we can't imagine life without all of you!!  I have been stamping these last few weeks as it's great way to reduce the stress and not think about what has been going on. I have tons of projects to share with you in the coming weeks!

Hugs,

Foxy Friends Birthday Card

Happy Monday!!

I hope you are having a great day!! Thank you so much for all the sweet comments on my Pop of Paradise Level Card and if you are visiting for the first time to my blog, welcome!! I had so much fun and can't wait for next month's blog hop..it's going to be a really cool fancy fold!! The neat thing about participating in a blog hop, it's makes you think outside the box and pushes you out of your creative zone!!

My project today is a quick and simply card that you can mass produce for birthday or thank you cards. You could easily switch out the greeting for any occasions. I saw this simple design on Mary Fish's blog and knew that I had to recreate it. Now I did switch up the greeting as I wanted to make a birthday card!!

My greeting is from the new Designer Tin of Cards stamp set. I love the fonts in this set and can see it being used for so many different projects!!
